Kathryn Murray is our general elementary music teacher!
BACKGROUND
Kathryn began her teaching career at Monroe in 2011 when she student taught with Marcia Scharnweber. She is going into her ninth year of teaching and previously taught at Notre Dame School in Clarendon Hills, Westbrook School in Mount Prospect, and District 142 in Oak Forest where she directed the 4th and 5th grade chorus and taught general music to grades K-5.

Mrs. Murray has a dog named Lola! She is a black labrador retriever.
Mrs. Murray loves to travel and eat yummy food!
MUSIC EDUCATION
Music is an essential part of a child’s education. Learning music enhances learning in all other subject areas. Most importantly, music allows us to be creative, expressive, and to be well-rounded individuals.
Mrs. Murray is excited for another year and can’t wait to make beautiful music with all of her students!
